Position Objectives

The OSP/FTTX Trainer will have thorough knowledge and ability to coach and mentor all aspects of Outside Pant Engineering. He shall be able to develop new training materials when necessary, while enhancing the current training documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expert knowledge of OSP with a track record of training large teams.
  • Possess excellent knowledge in all OSP related civil works such as excavation, trenching, ducting, backfilling, etc.
  • Experienced in installing and jointing techniques for OSP cables
  • Provide onsite training sessions and demonstrate best practices
  • Expert level knowledge and experience on optical networks testing and measurement techniques
  • Conduct training sessions for both design and inspection teams all over the kingdom
  • Create training modules/slides and align them with the latest Customer standards and guidelines

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Min. 10+ years telecommunication experience with at least 5 years as a OSP/FTTX trainer
  • Proven experience of working with standards, regulations and compliance on OSP (fibre and civil)
  • Profound knowledge of all aspects of the OSP fibre network (Standards, Guidelines, Procedures, Technologies, Equipment, Tools, etc).
  • In depth knowledge of FTTx solutions, architecture, and materials.
  • Experience of working in technical roles (specifications, R&D, quality control, product development, etc.) for telecommunication passive material suppliers.
  • Extraordinary technical writing skills in English to write documents of a technical nature.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, be reliable, and demonstrate a superior level of initiative.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential documents and situations
  • Travel required for training or certifications.
  • International experience from a developed telecoms market
  • Experienced of MS Office Tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word), plus Visio and Database
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
